Miller Architects & Builders Announce Completion of St. John Lutheran Church 

Winsted, MN — Miller Architects & Builders, a leader in creating worship spaces throughout the nation, is proud to announce its partnership with St. John Lutheran Church and the completion of its new worship facility. With the original building dating back to the 1850s, the building was quickly running out of room to support the growing Winsted area. Over the years, additions have been made to alleviate the constraints, but the new building will help better support the growing congregation and their Christian education department.

The new facility is a one-story building with 11,145 square feet and 10.3 acres of land within the city limits. Featuring a multi-purpose space that can be used for worship and fellowship, the space will accommodate 300 people for worship and seat 200 for various events, including lunch or dinner. This building also includes an administration wing with offices for pastoral staff, a reception area, a work room, and a multi-purpose room for staff meetings, board meetings, and adult small groups. When you enter the space, you will be greeted by a beautiful, open lobby with a stone wall and fireplace. To focus on the education of the children and youth in the area, an extra wing was created to house a large youth gathering space and six additional rooms for Sunday school and other gatherings. The building also incorporates elements from the previous church, such as the stained glass windows and cross, to honor the church’s history and its strong relationship with the Winstead community.
