Green Badger revealed the data collected for its 2024 Sustainability Report. The company shared the growing number of users utilizing its software and its increased sustainability impact for 2024.
Green Badger, a SaaS developer for managing sustainable construction, released its 2024 Sustainability Report and announced that 80% of the top 25 Green Construction firms now use its software to streamline and automate LEED certification and ESG reporting. According to the report, year-over-year growth remained strong, with more than 550 construction projects using Green Badger’s software in 2024, and total users eclipsed 11,200 worldwide, representing a 20% increase.
While federal environmental policies continue to ebb and flow, Green Badger CEO and Founder Tommy Linstroth sees a consistent undercurrent of strong demand for sustainable construction.
“We’re talking with leaders at firms of all sizes who are building infrastructure that will support future generations, and they’re continuing to take the longer view,” said Linstroth. “I’m encouraged by their unwavering commitment to building a better, more sustainable future, and Green Badger is proud to partner with them and make sustainability more accessible.”
As a testament to Green Badger’s growing impact, the 2024 Sustainability Report cites that 100% of projects using Green Badger for LEED certification earned more credits than planned. And 50% of projects earned a higher LEED level than targeted. That translates into more tons of waste diverted from landfills, millions of gallons of environmentally safer paint used, less energy and fuel wasted, and a sizably reduced carbon footprint.
For more than 10 years, Green Badger has aided impacts like these for the construction companies it supports while internally continuing to emphasize corporate philanthropy, mitigate the business’s environmental impacts, and promote a growing number of employee-led sustainability initiatives. To remain carbon neutral, Green Badger measured and over-estimated its Scope 1, 2, and 3 impacts covering electricity, natural gas, business travel, and AWS hosting emissions, and offset 50 tons of eCO2 through a partnership with Carbon Solutions Group.
Green Badger also received its first Just label in 2024, receiving several top marks in categories like Equity, Stewardship, and Diversity & Inclusion. Education remained a priority, with employees participating in lunch-and-learns on sustainability topics like fast fashion’s impact, the benefits of minimalism, and SITES—a program promoting sustainable landscapes and nature-based solutions.
