As a busy, full-time working single mum, there’s always one thing on my wishlist and that’s the wish for more time. The juggle is real and I know I’m not alone in this problem too.
From decluttering hacks to cleaning tricks and gardening short cuts, there’s a raft of options out there for buying back some tme. And, while some require little investment, others such as appliances don’t always come cheap. But, if something can save me time, I’m going to consider it.
So, with time saving in mind, these are the top four items I currently have saved on my Amazon Prime wishlist. Take a look to see if they could suit you too.
1. Robot vacuum cleaner
I’m really not sure why I haven’t yet invested in a robot vacuum cleaner. Every year I look at them and I know deep down it’s the solution to the pet hair, crumbs and debris that land on my floor, despite vacuuming on a regular basis.
And while I’ve worked my way through cordless cleaners from Amazon such as the Dyson V8, and currently own the Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum (both available at Amazon), I’ve yet to splash out on a robot model. But, as technology advances, so does their capability and so maybe waiting hasn’t all been a bad thing. Now, there are options for vacuuming and mopping in one, which is why this one may well make it out of my shopping bag soon.
Eufy Omni C20 Robot Vacuum Cleaner With Mop
The Eufy Omni C20 is an all singing all dancing vacuum that cleans, mops, empties itself and dries itself too. If it came in human form it could teach my sons a thing or two I’m sure. What’s not to love?
2. Robot window cleaner
I won’t deny that cleaning windows brings some level of satisfaction at the sight of a smear-free surface. But, let’s face it life is short and if your home features lots of architectural glazing, either your window cleaning bills will soon mount up, or your diary will soon be filled with endless days of chores and time you’ll never get back.
The solution? A robot window cleaner. Yes, they’re not cheap, but pick the right model that can be used inside and out, and you’ll be able to pick the optimum time to ensure they’re sparkling and you’ll never have to worry about missing the window cleaner again.
Ecovacs W2 Omni Window Cleaning Robot
Whether your windows are large or small, the Ecovacs W2 has a smart planning and sensor smart detection frame allowing it to adapt the cleaning path to suit. It also has a three nozzle wide angle spray and portable power and storage box too.
3. Robot pet cam
Although I’m a little concerned this next product could turn out to be a time waster rather than a time saver, I’m convincing myself it will save me time in the long run. How? Because I won’t sit there worrying about the dog if I’m out, or find myself spending unnecessary time coming home to check he’s ok.
Perfect for homeowners who don’t work from home, it could also double up as a secondary home security system, keeping an eye on your home, as well as your pet.
Enabot Ebo Air 2 Pet Camera Robot
With day and night vision, a clear tracking system that lets it roam around the whole of one level of your home, the Enabo Ebo Air 2 Pet Camera is also equipped with a two way camera letting you speak to your pet. Battery running low? It will scoot back to its charging station so it’s topped up and ready to go.
4. Best air fryer
Yes, I understand this next item is not always going to make it onto the must-have list of kitchen appliances when designing your new kitchen extension, but, there’s no escaping the fact that according to everyone I know who has one, they save you time cooking.
And quite frankly, if it means I can spend less time in the kitchen, it’s worth having. My son’s been nagging me to get one for months. He may well find it’s about to pay off, but don’t let him know I said that.
Tefal Easy Fry Dual Zone Digital Air Fryer
This is Amazon’s best-selling air fryer and comes with dual baskets. It doesn’t just save time though. According to Tefal, tests showed it to be 40% faster than a conventional oven, with a reduction of up to 70% in energy use. A time and cost saver I may not be able to resist for much longer.
Why isn’t a robot lawnmower on your list I hear you ask? Quite simply because I don’t have a garden. But if I did I woudn’t be searching for the best petrol lawnmower. If I had a large garden, I’d be considering the tried and tested Segway Navimow 1500E, or in a smaller space, the LawnMaster OcuMow® would be a good option too as it doesn’t need a boundary wire and can be app controlled too.
