What drives construction industry firms when they are seeking new software? To answer the question, Software Advice devised a study for which they used 770 randomly selected interactions with business owners and project managers.
The study clearly shows how the buyer’s role makes a big difference in software purchase decisions. Business owners most frequently cited company growth as their top reason for seeking new software. Project managers, on the other hand, most frequently cited their desire for either an all-in-one suite or improved integration between best-of-breed applications.
Among respondents with a deployment preference, 70 percent of owners preferred on-premise, while 72 percent of project managers preferred Web-based.
