Television power couple Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley have embarked on an ambitious project in London, transforming a 1950s property into a stunning mid-century modern home.
Purchased in 2023 for nearly £5 million, the home in Hampstead, is undergoing a complete renovation to reflect the couple’s aesthetic vision and lifestyle.
Drawing inspiration from their years living in Los Angeles, the project aims to blend contemporary design with functionality, creating a dream family home in one of London’s most prestigious areas.

While their decision to renovate this property is driven by their love for design and architecture, it also stems from a deeply personal reason.
The couple moved back to the UK from Los Angeles due to growing safety concerns, particularly around gun violence. Cat Deeley previously shared her anxieties about raising their children in the U.S., recalling a moment when she had to ask a prospective school, “What do you do if there is a live shooter on the premises?”

The decision became even more pressing after an alarming incident in which Patrick Kielty and one of their children were caught up in an active shooter scare at a Los Angeles shopping mall. This experience solidified their resolve to return to the UK and build a safer, more stable environment for their family.
The renovation journey: Progress so far
The ambitious project is well underway with significant renovations already taking place.
Cat Deeley has shared glimpses of the process on social media, documenting moments of excitement and surprise, including a video where she expressed shock at the extent of demolition, stating, “I’m not going to lie, I got a bit of a shock today. Not much house, lots of air.”

Updates to foundation and excavation plans to accommodate structural extensions.
While no official completion date has been announced, the meticulous approach suggests the couple is committed to getting every detail just right before moving in.
